Rimsky-Korsakov (1844-1908) was a Russian composer, music educator and conductor who taught lessons at the Conservatory of Saint Petersburg, to Stravinsky and Prokofiev among others. The talented orchestrations of this versatile composer are quite famous, not only of his own works, but also of friends (Mussorgsky's Night on the Bare Mountain). SLAVA opus 21, is based on an ancient Russian hymn, and dates back to 1879-1880 and was composed for mixed choir and orchestra.
