Giuseppe Ratti
Born in Turin in 1965, graduated in Composition, Orchestral Direction, Clarinet and Electronic Music at the Conservatory of Turin and in Band Instrumentation at the Conservatory of Trento. He has played the clarinet with the "Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI" and at the "Teatro Regio" in Turin. In 1994 he attended a course in Orchestral Direction, held by G. Kuhn at the "Pomeriggi Musicali" in Milan and in 1997 he obtained the final diploma following the three-year course held by D. Renzetti at the "Scuola Superiore di Musica dell'Accademia Pescarese". In 1998 he attended the course in Orchestral Direction held in Milan by the "I Pomeriggi Musicali" Foundation and directed the final concerts. Between 1993 and 1996 he directed the Choir of the "Stefano Tempia" Academy, with which he attended a number of festivals. He currently teaches Orchestral Practice at the Conservatory of Messina. Under his guidance, the "Corelli" Symphony Orchestra has held a number of concerts in Sicily and made a CD recording of Beethoven's "Seventh Symphony" and Schubert's "Unfinished Symphony". He is the Conductor of the Messina Conservatory's Wind Orchestra ever since it was founded.
