Luca Pettinato

Born in Mantua in 1989, Luca Pettinato graduated with a degree in Composition from the Conservatory of Music of his hometown followed by a degree in Wind Band Instrumentation from the Conservatory of Music of Trent. As a composer he writes concert music, as well as incidental music for the theater and music for the moving image, including works for the University of Modena-Reggio, the “Società Italiana Cure Palliative,” and “Simpario Verona”. His chamber music pieces have appeared in concert programs in various Italian cities, such as Milan, Bolzano, and Rome. In 2012, he received an honorable mention at the national competition for original wind band music “Centenario di Fondazione” in San Martino Canavese, Turin, with his “Sunset Promenade” (published by Scomegna Edizioni Musicali). In 2013, the jury of the international composition competition for sacred music “Benedetto XVI” in Rome, presided over by Ennio Morricone, awarded him the 2nd prize. Since 2010, he has been the director of the Wind Band of Gazoldo degli Ippoliti (Mantua).
