Description
A work by one of the sons of J.S. Bach. Original for piano solo where the (mostly) one-note melody line continually transitions from one hand to the other. During my career as a pianist with the Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy, I arranged and regularly performed this piece in a disco style for concert band with piano solo.
With the outbreak of the pandemic (COVID-19 / Corona), I took up composing & arranging again after years. I have created a number (currently 7) of works for concert band and fanfare band. These works have been recorded with 12 musicians. (Mostly (former) colleagues of the Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy).
Because of the "not being able to play together" for you during the lock-down, I have also created study audio files. Ideal for home study for the musicians! These will be sent to you digitally after purchase.
1. mp3 example files in which the orchestra groups play their parts.
2. mp3 rehearsal files, which can be used with the sheet music to study your part alone, or with some colleague musicians.
3. You will also receive an mp3 file with the "Play-Along" version (orchestra minus melody-line) for free, with parts of the melody-line in C, B-flat, E-flat, F in treble clef and bass-clef.
Example files are e.g.:
TUTTI orchestra (soft sound level) with flute/hobo highlighted
TUTTI orchestra (soft sound level) with clarinet/saxophone highlighted
TUTTI orchestra (soft sound level) with trumpet/euphonium highlighted
TUTTI orchestra (soft sound level) with horn/trombone highlighted
TUTTI orchestra (soft sound level) with bass/drums highlighted
TUTTI orchestra (soft sound level) with percussion/mallets highlighted
Rehearsal files are e.g. (sometimes with click):
TUTTI orchestra (normal sound level) woodwinds soft
TUTTI orchestra (normal sound level) brass soft
TUTTI orchestra (normal sound level) bass soft
TUTTI orchestra (normal sound level) drums soft
