The piece
This piece was inspired by autumn days, with their thousands of rich colours, the melancholy atmospheres and merry songs that accompany grape-harvesting time. The trombone, with its special timbre and distinctive expressiveness, plays the solo passages and conveys these different atmospheres to perfection. The composition is a clever alternation of melodic phrases and virtuoso passages, calm and bright tempos, original cadences and loud Tutti passages. All this gives rise to a piece that is extremely pleasant to play and listen to.
