Antonio Petrillo

Antonio Petrillo was born in Salerno on 6 June 1986. At the age of four years he is introduced to music by his father and, in 2005, he graduated with a degree in trumpet performance from the Conservatory of Music of Salerno, where he currently studies Instrumentation for band. He studied with Maurizio Persia (National Orchestra of Santa Cecilia in Rome), Massimo Bartoletti (professor of trumpet at the Conservatory "F. Morlacchi" of Perugia), Ermanno Ottaviani (National Orchestra of Santa Cecilia in Rome) and Andrea Tofanelli. From an early age he became interested in composition and jazz studying with artists such as Lucia Ronchetti (professor of composition at the Conservatory "G. Martucci" in Salerno), Andrea di Paolo (professor of composition) and Luciano Fineschi. He attended conducting courses with Lorenzo Pusceddu and Wesley Broadnax and is the author of various pieces and arrangements for wind band and chamber music. Currently, his works for wind band are published by Scomegna Edizioni Musicali.
