Gioachino Scomegna

Gioachino Scomegna was born in Turin, Italy on January 14, 1950. After attending his music studies, he received diplomas for piano, trumpet and orchestra conduction. Since from 1973 he is working as assistant conductor of the Royal Theatre of Turin. During his career, he conducted more than three hundreds concerts with string and brass orchestras and he is regularly asked as guest conductor in celebrated groups as the Sanremo Symphonic Orchestra. His experience was also enriched through the recordings of a few sound-tracks for cinema and television productions. Besides, he is a well known conductor of wind bands, for which he also arranges titles and composes original music.
