INTERMEZZO from Manon Lescaut

Puccini composed "Manon Lescaut" between 1889 and 1892. The symphonic intermezzo introducing the third act was originally placed before the current second act. "Manon Lescaut" is Puccini's third opera but is regarded as the first of the Maestro's musical maturity.
