TWO CENTURIES MARCH

This march was commissioned to celebrate the two-hundredth year of founding of the wind band "Santa Cecilia" of Povegliano Veronese. To better represent in music the two hundred years of the history of the wind band, the composer merged the classic form of the March (binary form, March-Trio, with the trio in the subdominant) with a harmonic and rhythmic language typical of the present day. “Two Centuries March" is thus a composition suspended between past and present that, like all wind bands that have a long history, manages to merge traditional and innovative values.
