Description
It is October 2, 1872, when Mr. Fogg, a member of the exclusive Reform Club of London, accepts a bet with the other members: he would be able to travel around the world in just 80 days, thanks to the latest railway innovations. The stake for the bet is £20,000; Fogg accepts and must leave that same day to return by midnight on December 21.

Thus begins the adventurous journey in which Fogg decides to bring his faithful French servant Passepartout. Fogg, being very meticulous, precisely notes down all the stages of the itinerary on a sheet, with the departure and arrival times at various locations, so he can immediately assess whether he is aligned with the travel plan.

Immediately, delays and misadventures of all kinds begin. Fogg is mistaken for one of the thieves who had robbed the Bank of England a few days earlier, and Detective Fix starts following the Englishman in hopes of arresting him.

In Bombay, our travelers discover that the Great Indian Peninsular Railway, contrary to what the English newspapers claimed, is not completed at all, and the crossing of India must be made by makeshift means. Along the way, they save a girl (Auda) destined to be burned on a pyre during a ritual funeral, and finally, with the poor girl in tow, they reach Hong Kong, still followed by Detective Fix. From there, by steamship, they reach San Francisco where, now outside British territories, Fix can no longer arrest Mr. Fogg and decides to cooperate to help him reach England as soon as possible.

After a Sioux Indian attack on the train taking them to New York and many other adventures, they finally reach New York, only to find that the ship bound for Liverpool has already sailed. Fogg buys a small steamship with which they manage to reach the Irish coast and then, by various means, arrive in Liverpool at 11:40, just in time to catch the last train to London and arrive before midnight. Fix, however, ruins the plans by arresting Fogg again now that they are on English soil. It takes two hours to realize that the real bank robber had been arrested a few days earlier, and so, once Fogg is freed, the journey can resume.

Unfortunately, they arrive in London five minutes late: the bet is lost, and the three, resigned, return home, where Auda declares her love for Mr. Fogg and asks him to marry her despite the fact that he is now penniless due to the great expenses for the journey and the lost bet. The next morning, Passepartout goes to Reverend Wilson to arrange the wedding and realizes that it is December 21, not 22 (a counting error due to time zones) and they can go to the Reform Club to claim the reward!
