CONCERTINO PER FLAUTO
After the concertinos for Saxophone, Trombone (or Euphonium) and Trumpet, Pusceddu wrote the Concertino for Flute: medium difficulty for band, demanding solo part. In Allegro-Andante-Allegro form, with a final cadenza recalling the main themes. Dedicated to Stefania Cinus.
Description
After those for saxophone, trombone (or euphonium) and trumpet, Pusceddu wrote the Concertino for Flute; as with the previous ones, this is also a work of medium difficulty for the concert band, while the solo part requires a good technical level. The composition is structured in the classic form Allegro-Andante-Allegro. The final cadenza summarizes the main themes of the three movements. The piece is dedicated to the flutist Stefania Cinus, a friend and collaborator of the composer.
