Salvatore Farina

Salvatore Farina (Maracay, Venezuela, 1974) is a composer, tubist, and arranger. He graduated in Tuba Performance from the Conservatory of Cosenza and subsequently earned academic degrees in Band Instrumentation and a Second-Level Academic Diploma in Composition, graduating with highest honors from the Conservatory of Bologna.
Since 2004, he has served as a tubist with the Italian Army Band. He has collaborated with leading Italian musical institutions, including the Massimo Theatre of Palermo, the Vittorio Emanuele Theatre of Messina, and the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra.
The author of educational methods, original compositions, and numerous transcriptions for wind orchestra, he is actively engaged in the research, preservation, and promotion of the Italian wind band repertoire. His arrangements and compositions have received awards and recognition in several national and international competitions.
