Born in Mexico in 1947 and a naturalised US citizen, Carlos Santana is one of the most successful rock musicians of all time. Among his greatest hits are Samba pa-ti and Europa. After a period during which his popularity dwindled, at the end of the 1990s he had a phenomenal comeback with his CD "Supernatural", from which this piece, which is one of his best-loved songs, is taken.
