KONZERT FÜR VIER HÖRNER
for 4 Horns and concert band. Carl Heinrich Hübler (1822-1893) was a celebrated horn player of the Royal Court Orchestra in Dresden. In October 1849, Hübler participated in a private performance of Robert Schumann's Konzertstück for four horns and orchestra (op. 86), with the composer in attendance. The event inspired Hübler to compose his own Concerto for Four Horns and Orchestra (1854-56), the only piece for which he is remembered.
