ROMANCE FOR ALTO SAX

Usually, elderly musicians transmit the wind band tradition from generation to generation through images and reminiscences. Still frames of lived moments unfold in the mind of those who listen to these musicians, as they pass on memories to new generations by means of emotions that are not always easy to describe. The composition, A-B-A in tripartite form, combines the melodic tradition with a modern popular style in an attempt to reproduce the mood aroused by these memories.
