THE VILLAGE ON RIVER MARK
Description
The Village on River Mark was composed to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Wind Band ‘Costantia’ from Ulvenhout in the Netherlands. In five connected parts this work describes the rural and forested areas surrounding the village Ulvenhout situated on the river Mark. The six-tone theme is in the style of Anton Gustav Mahler. With changes in tempo and mood, this is a beautiful programmatic work, which is pleasurable for the listener, and interesting for the musicians. The Village on River Mark was composed to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Wind Band ‘Costantia’ from Ulvenhout in the Netherlands.
