Description
Notturno is an arrangement for youth wind band of the main theme from the homonymous work by Felix Mendelssohn (1809–1847), taken from the incidental music to A Midsummer Night’s Dream. A broad, lyrical melody, fascinating for its simplicity and romantic poetry.
1st Prize at the 3rd International Composition Competition for Youth Band “Piccolo è Bello”
With Zwei Märsche by Ludwig van Beethoven, one refers to two military band marches in F major (WoO 18 and WoO 19), composed between 1809 and 1810 for the Bohemian militia and dedicated to Archduchess Maria Ludovica. Written for winds and percussion, they feature a vigorous rhythm.
