ROSES FROM THE SOUTH (fanfare)

This waltz was hastily assembled by Johann Strauss jr. on motifs taken from one of his recent operettas, The Queen's Lace Handkerchief. Given its immediate success, the piano edition was published by its publisher just four days after the first performance of the work.
