Oasis are one of the most influential indie rock bands and pioneers of Britpop, becoming the most significant English group since the '90s. They released 11 albums, selling over 70 million records, with a record 18 million in 1996 alone. The band achieved 8 number-one singles in the UK charts, 22 consecutive top 10 singles, and numerous awards, including 15 NME Awards and 6 Brit Awards. Their 1996 concert at Knebworth Park, attended by 250,000 people, is legendary. Led by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, Oasis had a massive cultural impact through their music and frequent internal tensions.
