Giancarlo Gazzani has enjoyed a series of successes with Scomegna, including "Santana, a portrait", "Louis Armstrong legend" and, recently, "Modugno forever". As an expert in instrumentation for big bands and smaller ensembles, Gazzani's arrangements incorporate the orchestral flavour and sound that guarantee success, without being excessively difficult. For the 2005 catalogue he has contributed this arrangement as a tribute to Perez Prado, with four of the musician's greatest hits (Mambo No. 8, Ritmo de chunga, Patricia and Mambo jambo).
