Description
Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (1809-1847) was a close friend of Heinrich Joseph Baermann. Baermann was undisputedly the best clarinettist of his day and performed concerts throughout Europe together with his son Carl, also a talented clarinettist. Mendelsshon wrote Konzertstück Nr. 1 in F minor Op. 113 for them both; it employed clarinet, and basset horn with either piano or orchestra accompaniment.
