The title
The piece was composed with the intent of creating a clear, bright and lively image. The title means "bright light" and this is the main feature and hallmark of the work, which evokes the traditional concept of programme music. The work features a succession of contrasting themes with an alternation of rhythmic situations and long melodic pauses and - in the final part - these elements are intensified to underline the fact that the "bright light", present throughout the piece, is the common denominator of the whole composition.
