Renato Soglia

Born in Riolo Terme (RA) in 1960, Soglia graduated in trumpet performance and instrumentation and composition for band at the Conservatory of Music in Bologna. He was a member of the symphonic orchestras ''Teatro Municipale'' of Bologna and “Arturo Toscanini” of Emilia Romagna. He has also performed as principal trumpet with the Symphonic Orchestra of the RAI in Milan. Author of various didactic publications tailored for conservatories of music, he has also edited numerous historical music theory methods for the Edizioni Ricordi, including among others Pozzoli, Gatti, and Bona. He has released various works on didactic education for teachers and six middle school textbooks with Fabbri Editori in Milan. Soglia has written many compositions for wind band that are widely performed in Europe and are published by Marani Edizioni Musicali, Robert Martin, and Scomegna Edizioni Musicali.
