Daniele Carnevali
Born in 1957, obtained degrees in Trumpet and Composition for band at the Conservatory of Parma and in Choir Music and at the Conservatory of Bologna. He was a trumpet player in various orchestras such as "A. Toscanini" from Emilia Romagna and the R.A.I., while teaching at the Parma and Modena Conservatories. At present, he is composing original pieces for wind band for which he has won numerous national awards. Besides collaborating with such publishers as Scomegna (Turin), Eridania (Mantova) and Molenaar (Holland) he has been conducting the "Grande Banda Rappresentativa della Federazione delle bande del Trentino" and the Conservatory wind-band in Trento, the first ever in Italy, which he founded. He is frequently invited to hold seminars both nationally and internationally, as jury member in wind band competitions and guest director in some of the best Italian orchestras. Since 1987 he has held the chair in Composition at "Bonporti" Conservatory of Trento, besides Arranging and Analysis in Jazz and Popular Music new courses. Since 2009 he is artistic director of the International Wind Band Competition "Flicorno d'Oro" from Riva del Garda, which he already conducted for the first four editions.
