Beschreibung
Commissioned by the "Piccola Primavera" Social Band of Verla di Giovo on the occasion of its 125th anniversary, it is a composition inspired by and dedicated to the splendid natural landscapes that characterize the Val di Cembra, in which Verla is beautifully nestled. The first of the three movements structuring the piece is a kind of slow march, austere, majestic, and cadenced, through which the author wanted to describe the hard work, made of constancy and sacrifices, that allowed to shape the land, adapting it to the vineyard cultivation which is the main characteristic of that landscape. The second movement is more intimate and contemplative: sweet and harmonious melodic lines chase each other throughout its length, inspired by the moment of rest after hard work and contemplation of the beautiful surrounding landscapes. The third and final part is instead in stark contrast to the first two; it is a lively and engaging Allegro, which aims to represent the union of a community, the sense of sharing and celebration, and the love for one's land. The entire composition is based on two main thematic ideas, initially varied and developed separately within the three sections of the piece, and then reunited in the grand finale.
